“In Meadowmont Village, Glenn and Elaine O'Neil have sold O'Neil's Neighborhood Grill to Ed and Deborah Roach. The new owners plan to transform the restaurant into a contemporary American bistro with a California wine country accent; Matt Romatzick from the Napa-Sonoma region has been hired to develop the menu.
But the husband and wife team are phasing in the changes gradually. They're retaining the popular dishes from the old menu, at least for the short term. Romatzick's influence, which is currently reflected in a handful of dishes such as duck confit and braised short ribs with celery root puree, will become more noticeable as time goes by.
The dining room will get a makeover, and may expand into the neighboring space. A new name for the restaurant is in the works, too.” |
